This journal pursues a policy of immediate open access to published content, supporting the principles of free dissemination of scientific information and global exchange of knowledge for the general social progress.

The journal was founded in September 1998. Indexed in Google Scholar , archived in the repositories of the National Library of Ukraine named after V.I. Vernadsky, scientific library of the Kharkiv National Medical University and Zenodo.

Publication in the journal is paid by the authors in the amount:

- postgraduate student of the Kharkiv National Medical University separately (the article has one author) ‒ 45 UAH per manuscript page;

- an employee of the Kharkiv National Medical University separately ((the article has one author) ‒ 55 UAH per manuscript page;

- all others, and if the article has more than one author ‒ 75 UAH per manuscript page.
