До категорії важкої когорти в хірургії відносять пацієнтів із рубцевими стенозами трахеї. Незважаючи на стрімкий розвиток торакальної хірургії, рівень ускладнень і смертності не знижується, інвалідність зростає. Нами вивчено сучасні літературні джерела на тему сучасних напрямів лікування рубцевих стенозів трахеї та їх ускладнень. Вивчений матеріал узагальнений і представлений у формі огляду літератури в цій статті. Для підвищення якості лікування пацієнтів при рубцевих стенозах трахеї та їх хірургічних ускладненнях важливу роль відіграє об’єктивне формування груп ризику розвитку ускладнень та прогнозування динаміки захворювання. Успішне вирішення проблеми пов’язане здебільшого з високоінформативною діагностикою, достовірним визначенням тяжкості захворювання, а також створенням різноспрямованої класифікації рубцевих стенозів трахеї. За результатами дослідження ми дійшли висновку, що ці питання не можна вважати повністю вирішеними і потребують подальшого вивчення. Усе вищезазначене диктує пошук нових ефективних методів лікування зазначеної патології та свідчить про актуальність теми. Викладена інформація підкреслює необхідність удосконалення хірургічної тактики пацієнтів із рубцевими стенозами трахеї.
